Water and more water…

Lamington National Park is Australia's largest area of subtropical rainforest and home to an amazing array of wildlife. With over 160km of graded walking trails through the park walkers are often rewarded with rare animal encounters & spectacular scenic views with a highlight often being the enchanting view of one of the many waterfalls. (Photographs courtesy of Ken Duncan)

Black Canyon

At the top end of Black Canyon, Lightning Falls (on Lightning Creek) and Thunder Falls (on the Albert River) both drop into a beautiful pool. It's a pretty special spot but requires an extremely steep scrambling descent and some rock-hopping

Elabana Falls

Featured on all the picture postcards, this waterfall is an icon of Lamington and the Box Log falls, just downstream, are equally spectacular.

Coomera Falls

On the Coomera Track, possibly the most spectacular falls in the park.

Running Creek

The falls are at the western end of the park, accessed by a roughish bush trail.

Box Log Falls

Located along The Box Forest Track which leaves the Picnic Rock track 2.7 km from the entrance and is a most rewarding circuit walk.

Gwongurai and Chalahn Falls

Are highlights on the Toolona Creek circuit.
