Scrub Club is a fun creative way for children aged 5 and over to spend their time at O'Reilly's, as well as a nice opportunity for parents to relax! O'Reilly's Scrub Club activities run Queensland school holidays and Queensland public holidays. The activities are based on environmental education concepts that incorporate learning about the rainforest and it's weird and wonderful inhabitants with fun games, arts and crafts. All activities have been designed with the children's safety in mind and while participating, the children are supervised at all times by the Scrub Club Attendant.
We have recently developed a full range of new activities, which combined with the old favourites ensure a fantastic time is had by all. 'Frog and Friends','Things that Bite and Sting', 'Feathered Friends' and the 'Good Old Days' will keep the children informed and entertained. Of course we have the ultimate adventure and favourite activity The Flying Fox, where the children are strapped into a harness linked to a pulley for a 180m flight through the air. This activity is run every second day during school holidays but is weather dependent.
It is important that children are dressed appropriately for each activity. A hat, sunscreen, walking shoes and raincoat are essential for enjoyable bush walks. Old clothes are recommend for arts and crafts as getting messy and dirty is part of the fun. If you have any special requests for activities or any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
