O'Reilly's Eco Rangers program is a fun creative way for children aged 5 and over to spend their time at O'Reilly's, as well as a nice opportunity for parents to relax!
Eco Ranger activities run Queensland and New South Wales school holidays and Queensland public holidays, subject to numbers. The activities are based on environmental education concepts that incorporate learning about the rainforest and it's weird and wonderful inhabitants with fun games, arts and crafts. All activities have been designed with the children's safety in mind and while participating, the children are supervised at all times by a qualified staff member.
We have recently developed a full range of new activities, which combined with the old favourites ensure a fantastic time is had by all. 'Nature Detectives','Bush Craft', and 'Rainforest Safari' will keep the children informed and entertained. Of course, we also have the ultimate adventure activity (and popular favourite!), the Flying Fox, where the children are strapped into a harness linked to a pulley for a 180m flight through the air (please note, this activity is available for children over 8 years old only and is weather dependent).
It is important that children are dressed appropriately for each activity. A hat, sunscreen, walking shoes and raincoat are essential for enjoyable bush walks. Old clothes are recommend for arts and crafts as getting messy and dirty is part of the fun. If you have any special requests for activities or any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
