WINE OF THE MONTH - Bernard Reserve Chambourcin 2005
The Bernard Reserve Chambourcin is a fantastic wine to enjoy in the upcoming autumn and winter months, especially with delicious casseroles, roast lamb or confit duck. The Bernard has rich plum and dark cherry characteristics, with a hint of truffles in the finish. Hand picked by our members (you know who you are) in March 2005. Perfect to warm you from the inside out!

SEMILLON and VERDELHO 2007 MEMBER'S WINE LAUNCH
After a much anticipated wait, we are happy to announce that on Saturday, 16th June we will be christening our new Wine Cellar, along with the launch of the 2007 Platypus Play Semillon and Vince Reserve Verdelho. As valued members, we invite you and your friends to join us for this special Member's Wine Launch.
The official launch starts at 12:00pm, and you'll have the opportunity to be among the first to 'taste-test' the new vintage! Our popular Semillon is always a favourite, and the Verdelho is made with grapes from Dave Westlake's vineyard in Stanthorpe, which we intend to blend with our own fruit in the future.
Why not stay on for lunch on the verandah or book one of our popular picnic baskets. Be entertained by Bo Jenkins who will be playing in the gazebo until 3:30pm.

CHAMBOURCIN HARVEST REPORT
A HUGE thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our annual Chambourcin Harvest - thank you for your contribution. This year saw a record harvest of 12.8 tonnes, all picked in peak condition. We look forward to the next harvest season in 2008, and will commence taking bookings in mid-December for the Semillon harvest.
The Verdelho vines are coming along nicely and we expect to harvest our first crop in 2009. We’ll keep you up to date with their progress and look forward to announcing the special member’s launch date in the future.

FAREWELL TO STEVE
Like a classic vintage or a great bottle of wine, all good things must come to an end. Our Vineyard Manager, Steve Fraser, has decided to move on to the next challenge in his career and finished up with us at the end of March. We thank Steve for his enthusiasm, passion, and all his hard work with the vineyard, the wine and our members. We wish Steve all the best with his future endeavours, and a long and happy married life with new wife, Rebecca.
