PLATYPUS PLAY SEMILLON 2008 AND VINCE RESERVE VERDELHO 2008 LAUNCH - Saturday, 28th June

Join us to celebrate the new releases of these popular wines. Guest speaker at the Launch will be our talented Chef, Rob Wauters, who will be demonstrating the preparation and cooking methods for our Silky Oak Pork Belly. Arrive by 11:30am for a 12:00pm start in the wine cellar, then stay on for a special ‘Launch Lunch’ or a picnic / BBQ basket. 'DOWN BY THE CREEK' FESTIVAL - Sunday, 6th July

Join us as we 'jazz it up' during our 'Down by the Creek' Festival, on Sunday 6th July. Come and enjoy an afternoon of great food and live music featuring renowned Blues artist Bo Jenkins and his band, Australia's premier Blues / Harp player Chris Wilson and The Easybeats' Stevie Wright, plus special guest Sarah Carroll. Performances start from 12:00pm and continuing 'swinging' through to 4:00pm. Hurry - book now as numbers are strictly limited! Tickets are $100.00 per person / $200.00 per couple and include a picnic basket, bottle of wine and picnic rug.

On the day, we will be closed for regular picnic and restaurant bookings, however our Canungra Cellar Door will be open for wine tastings.

The Vineyard will be reserved for buses and disabled parking only, however parking is available in Canungra with return bus transfers for $10.00 per person.

REPLANTING SEMILLON VINES - Saturday, 30th August:

Make your mark and claim your row for the grand replanting of the Semillon vines. This will be an all-day event but we will provide a delicious lunch as a 'thank you'. To register your interest, contact the Vineyard on 07 5543 4011.

BRISBANE EKKA - 7 - 20th August:

If you're at the Ekka this year, come and visit us in the Woolworths Pavilion for wine tasting and a chat. We'll be in the same location but with a fantastic new booth design.

ANNUAL GOLD COAST HINTERLAND WINEMAKERS DINNER - Friday 22nd August

Enjoy a gourmet six-course dinner matched with wines from Gold Coast Hinterland wineries and vineyards at the annual Gold Coast Wine Maker's Dinner, held at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on Friday, August 22nd. DAY TRIP TO SIRROMET WINERY - Friday 25th July

Join us for a fun day trip to Sirromet Winery for a winery tour, wine tasting and two-course lunch. The bus leaves from Robina train station at 9:30am with a pick up at Helensvale train station at 10:00am. Members price: $95.00 per person including tour, wine tasting, lunch and return bus transfers. Without bus transfers: $70.00 per person. Chambourcin Harvest

Saturday, 23rd February, 2008

150 keen and eager harvesters joined us at the vineyard on Saturday 23rd February for one of the fastest Chambourcin harvests on record. 1 and 3/4 hours! We picked a grand total of 6.5 tonnes, which was about 60% of the fruit. The balance of the Chambourcin will be harvested in the next few weeks for port, with Mike Hayes (winemaker) salivating over the quality of the fruit.

Gold Coast Hinterland Wine Country Dinner

A great time had by all who attended the recent Gold Coast Wine Dinner, a wonderful six-course meal with matching wines from the region at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. We look forward to next years event and to many more of our members coming along for an evening of fine food, fine wine and great company.
