Eco-Activities & Events

Since O'Reilly's opened its doors for Easter 1926, our Discovery Program has been a real highlight for our guests. The program is also an integral part of O'Reilly's commitment to sharing knowledge and awareness of the World Heritage Lamington National Park and its unique inhabitants.

Guests regularly comment on how amazed they are by how much they see and learn when they choose to join one of our Discovery guides. We show you things you would never have found on your own, and elaborate on these findings with fascinating insights into the intricacies of the rainforest ecosystem. We encourage you to get involved where your knowledge, experience and enjoyment will be enriched, and you'll be sure to meet some interesting characters from both the human and animal worlds.

Birds of Prey Show

See awesome aerial predators including owls, falcons and eagles in free flight as they perform amazing displays of natural aerobatics. Afterwards, have a chance to meet the ‘stars’ of the show and have your photo taken with them

Wildlife Encounter Show

In addition to his menagerie of birds, Mark also hosts the Wildlife Encounter experience, an interactive experience that lets guests get up close and personal with a range of reptiles mammals, birds and a Spotted-tailed Quoll, an elusive local of Lamington National Park. Animals for the show may vary depending on availability.

One-on-One Birds of Prey Encounter
