For over 90 years the O'Reilly family has been welcoming visitors to our mountain home in World Heritage Lamington National Park. We pride ourselves on providing a traditional, Australian hospitality experience in a spectacular natural setting. Location...
Over 80 years ago, it was a two day journey via car, train and horseback to reach us from Brisbane. Today a visit is less than a two hour scenic drive from Brisbane and 90 minutes from the Gold Coast. O'Reilly's is located on the western edge of Lamington Plateau 930 metres (3,000 feet) above sea level and enjoys spectacular view to the west over the McPherson Ranges and Great Dividing Range. We are surrounded by the rainforests of Lamington National Park, Australia's largest stand of sub-tropical rainforest and one of Australia's bio-diverse 'hot-spots'.

Immerse yourself in nature...
Lamington National Park is home to a myriad of unique flora & fauna. Pademelons, possums, frogs and the amazing array of birdlife makes O'Reilly's a nature lover's paradise. Make the most of your experience by joining our daily 'Discovery Program', our experienced guides lead an extensive program of interpretive rainforest walks, bird walks, 4WD bus excursions and nocturnal walks.
Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is from 2:00pm and check-out is at 10:00am, however you're more than welcome to arrive earlier and stay later to make the most of your time on the mountain. Take an adventurous trip on the famous Treetop Walk, explore the walking trails through the National Park, or join expert guides on our interpretive 'Discovery Program' activities - we will happily store your luggage at Reception on arrival until your room is ready or on departure until you're ready to head back down the mountain.
Temperature

Temperatures are generally 5-8 degrees cooler than Brisbane and the Coast

We recommend that guests bring layered clothing and walking boots or comfortable sport shoes suitable for rainforest walking

It is advisable to pack a jacket even in Summer (December to February) as evenings can cool at times, and the cool rainforests offer an excellent escape from the summer heat. Winter (late April to August) is generally dry and cool with fantastic, clear days end excellent views. The clear conditions are also excellent for stargazing.
